04 Days / 03 Nights

Day 01: AIRPORT – SAPE- RINCA ISLAND (L, D)
Upon arrival at Airport in BIMA to be met and direct transfer to SAPE Harbor to catch a boat for RINCA Island. Overnight on board.

Day 02: RINCA – KOMODO ISLAND (B, L, D)
After breakfast on board, start trekking in RINCA Island to explore the KOMODO Giant lizard and other wild animal like Water Buffalo and Horse that may be seen in the island. Sailing to PADAR island and then to PANTAI MERAH beach in KOMODO Island for swimming or snorkeling. Overnight on board. Fishing is an optional night activity on board.

Day 03: KOMODO – GILI BANTA – BIMA (B, L, D)
Exploring the island, walking for about 20 minutes to get BANUGULUNG to witness the KOMODO Dragon and others animals like Deer, Pig, Chicken and many kinds of Birds live wildly in typical dry tropical forest. Sail back to SAPE Harbor with a last stop for swimming or snorkeling at GILI BANTA. Go back to BIMA and overnight at hotel.

Day 04: BIMA – AIRPORT
After breakfast at local hotel, we will visit local market and museum of BIMA before heading to airport to catch flight for next destination.

Day 01 DENPASAR-MAUMERE-LARANTUKA
On arrival at “Waioti” Airport of Maumere – Flores, our guide will meet you and transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. Then drive 127 km (4 hours drive) to Larantuka, a small town on the Eastern tip of Flores Island. Dinner and overnight at a local homestay in Larantuka.

Day 02 LARANTUKA-LEMBATA
Breakfast at hotel. On arrival direct to a local restaurant for having lunch, then transfer to the pier for boarding on a wooden boat to cruise to Lowoleba – Lembata/Lomblen Island. Accommodation and meals at LOSMEN REJEKI, Lowoleba.

Day 03 LEWOLEBA-LAMALERA

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the pier to depart for Lamalera – a village of Whale-Hunters in the South of the Island. On arrival joint with the Whale hunter, if you may be lucky you will see muscular harpooners chasing the whale using the wooden canoe called “Pledang” in which its sail is made of palm leaves. Accommodation and meals at villagers’ houses in Lamalera.

Day 04 LAMALERA

After having breakfast having another opportunity to observe the whale hunting activities learn their ways of hunting, customs and listening to their stories of conducting whale hunting. Accommodation and meals at villagers’ houses in Lamalera.

Day 05 LAMALERA-LEWOLEBA

After having breakfast having another opportunity to observe the whale hunting activities learn their ways of hunting, customs and listening to their stories of conducting whale hunting. After lunch boating back to Lowoleba. Accommodation and meals at LOSMEN REJEKI or similar.

Day 06 LEWOLEBA-LARANTUKA-MAUMERE

Breakfast at hotel. Cruise back to Larantuka. On arrival direct drive to Maumere, on the stops will be made according to local happenings. Accommodation and meals at FLORES SAO RESORT.

Day 07 MAUMERE DEPARTURE

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport to depart for next destination.

WHAT TO BRING:
Dress is casual. Clothing should be light, preferably cotton with at least one long sleeved shirt and pants. Bathing suit, thongs or sandals and sneakers or walking boots, lots of film, camera, replacement batteries, and spares. Women please note Indonesia is a mostly Muslim country and custom dictates modesty. Please be well covered on shore excursions. Bring one light sweater or jacket as it can get cool in the highlands. Also bring sun-screen, insect repellent, sunglasses, sunhat, swimmers. Please advise beforehand if you have any special dietary requirements. Beer is available at local rates. Bring also your passport, visa, airline tickets, local currency and or US$ in small denominations.
